  • I've been trying to post a comment on your video but my phone won't let me, I'll have to find a computer later. But I think it's more than the material, I tried adjusting the tensions but it still happened. Would this be a bobbin tension problem? Thanks so much for taking the time to help me out!! I've found a few ppl with this problem but haven't gotten a clear answer from their comments section. I'll jeep trying :)

  • Fast forward to 3 min where the thread gets tangled.

  • ok so im having the smae Fu*^ing problem, and I literally just pulled the machine out of the box. I dont think it is a cleaning, or oiling issue, but it is defintely a bull shit issue. not very encouraging as a new sewer.

  • hey I know I have this problem and I solved it once by surching youtube .. keep looking for me it was the way I loaded the bobbin and petal control (make sure you can pull the strings freely before you start sewing)

  • ~CandiceMi5~ Did U evr get this prob fixed??? Im thinking of purchasing a Singer Traditional Machine for my nieces (I dont like the hidden bobbin).

  • @Discernaoftruth I don't think the problem is Singer. The problem is the bobbin design--it is cheap and old fashioned. Singer also has top loading bobbins that are held in place magnetically, designed NOT to jam. Unfortunately, this design is only in their expensive machines ($200 plus).

  • This same thing is happening with my Brother sewing machine. It's a POS and I know it, but this is irritating.

  • @peausurpeau Return it and turn AWAY FROM THE SINGERS!!!! If you want a "cheap" under $100-$200 sewing machine, go for a Janome or even a Brother. Just say no to the Singer.

  • I've JUST got my sewing machine out of the box (Singer brilliance) and it does the exact same thing.. only much quicker! - on normal cotton.. and I've tried pretty much every advice I could find in the manuel or from people on the net.. nothing helps... did you find a solution?

  • I have the same machine and the SAME problem! Next time, I'll buy a German machine...but it will cost twice as much. Just remember the old saying, "You get what you pay for".

  • happens to me all the time. I don't know why I bought that last singer machine--I guess I was hoping it was an issue with an old machine--that was a mistake

  • Try a machine that has a bobbin with the hole in the middle.

This one is not good. It ruined many of my projects too.

  • I also have this problem and I'll never guy a Singer machine again. The system they use for the bobbin is the same and my grandma had this problem with her machine.

    They didn't fix this problem.

It only happens with Singer machines.
