Love the juxtaposition of the bouncy tune and hateful lyrics. Dave Mattocks from Fairport Convention is on drums on this. It's from Hark! The Village Wait, right?

Like Jolly waggoner, another one from Dad playing his LP collection on a sunday morning before Jimmy Saville on the Radio.

saw these guys in they heyday, great band. this album was actually the first album they recorded but not the first album to be released, gay and terry woods left very soon after and martin carthy joined the band, got to go see martin carthy do a solo gig in 2004 and he is still amazing, rock on

A song about a mine strike, "blackleg" meaning scab. Great tune, amazingly hard to find. Thanks!

It was released on their 1986 album "Back in Line". Maybe this one is the single version or something? Thanks, I'm not particularly a fan of live performances...
This is my favourite Steeleye Span of all, it's just so incredibly good ~ Thanks for uploading this version! =)
Do you have the full 4:06 version? It'd be incredibly awesome to have that on Youtube...

This song reminds me of my childhood. My father has the vinyl from Steeleye Span on which is this song. Me and my sister were dancing to it. I love it.
