There is finally some good news from the scandal ridden Nairobi City Council. Earlier on Wednesday afternoon, a second fire engine went back into service after nearly a week in which emergency services were paralysed in the capital city. However, as NTVs Robert Nagila reports, the council is not out of the woods yet.

take all the money that the mps are planning to award themselves and use that money to build new fire stations and buy new fire trucks.

Exactly. The guy has been in office over a year n he is now just 'thinking he needs to think'.. meanwhile his partner in negligence clueless Mayor who faked his way to office is wondering why chief officers never told him about missing fire equipment...these guys are full of it!

He's not filling the tank with water - that would make absolutely no sense, sir. The city has a Chief Executive? Wow, then he says "we probably need to think about...." Not do, not take action, but rather, begin to "think about (probably). And what has a reform agenda got to do with havign a functioning fire dept? Sad ineptitude.
