Reminds me of my rat, Goldfish. (Named such because I wasn't actually allowed to have furry pets at the time.) I rat-proofed my bedroom and let her run around. One time, I fell asleep and woke up with her curled up against my neck sleeping.

What a beautiful rat. He looks soooo happy. I bet you're missing him though. It's amazing how they get under you skin. We have 14 munchkins in our ratpack. One is elderly, or getting that way, at 2 years 9 months old and he's still going strong. We have another who is 2 years 6 months old and also still going strong aswell. Rats are no doubt one of the most beautiful creatures on earth. Rats Rule!!

My friend has an elderly 3-year mommy rat, she's been weak tho but medicines helped. Guess 3 years aint that unusual, but she does take good care of her furballs.

Probably around two or three years at the most.
