My personal favorite of the Front Row Joe trailers we produced. The Little Friskies (modeled after the Andrews Sisters) took over from the Blue Brothers and we made Joe the lead singer instead of just a dancing cat. Trivia note: the Little Friskies are played by the same singer, doing all 3 harmonic parts. The opening rollercoaster graphics were NOT done on a computer...they were accomplished through a slitscan technique on a motion-controlled animation stand, requiring many camera tests and hours of shooting backlit artwork in a darkroom. Animation cels from this production are available at http://www.preshowproductions.com/cels.htm
I remember these ads very well.

LOL! Thank you for posting this, good times! I miss the old dollar theater. I dated a guy who would rant hilariously about having to watch the "dancing cat" before the movie.

Wow I was in high school working here. It was in lewisville tx. That was also when tandy Mitchell owned the business. I think he sold it and it never was the same again. They always would go in my line at the snack bar. Very nice people.

Wow...This is the first one I really remember since our theater in Jacksboro, TN was a Cinemark theatre until about 5 years ago when they were bought out by Carmike.

I distinctly remember one of these Front Row Joe pieces involving him in a giant pinball machine, Clyde getting run over by a giant pinball for his bad behavior, and a bit after that with Joe throwing what looked like a CGI Cinemark logo as a frisbee. Did you also work on that one?
