Horse loading and unloading in straight load trailer after Monty Roberts Pomona 08 demo. This horse took 2 hrs to load in the same type trailer to go to the Pomona Equine affair for the demo selection. After the demo, he loaded in slant loads wonderfully. We did have to work with him to get him to load in the straight load. Though without Monty's instructions and methods, I believe we would still have problems trying to get this horse in trailers.

  • Yes, I did remodel the trailer, it was a 1981 Circle J. It was a lot of work. Sorry, because of outstanding bills, I had to sell it approx. four months ago.

  • I mean Ramp Sorry

  • If you take your trailer to a local Welding shop, They should be able to build a ramp to add on to your trailer. a welding shop should be less expensive than going to a Horse Trailer Dealer. A lot of the newer trailers have the option of adding a ramp(they bolt on).

  • @douglas787 You need a trailer designed for horses to haul them. I would never let a horse of mine be hauled in a trailer that was designed for cars.

  • Well I have too admit, I actually learned something. I have a fully enclosed car trailer and would like to take a couple jobs hauling horses across country. The trailer has a smooth plywood floor. Is it better to have partitions in the trailer so they have just enough room to stand or better to have a 8.5 foot by 18 foot open space? How much headroom is needed for full grown normal horses? Will a horse just lay down for most of the trip if given room? How much water and food per day?

  • did you remodel your trailer? Is it for sale?

  • thats really good and my horsey can do that too :D xx

  • wow i wish my horse did that, he was in a trailering accident, he's slowly getting better but he's still afraid of small spaces

  • Thank you Monty Roberts for giving everyone at Lucky 7 Stables a beter option for dealing with horses! Come back soon!

  • Awesome,I wish I had a tramp on my trailer..
