We've created this 'How to' guide to help you achieve the best result using Dulux Garage Floor. It's an easy-to-use 6 step process that begins with a thorough clean of the designated surfaced in preparation for painting, and then etch the surface using the Dulux etching solution. Moving through to mixing the two vital paints -- the activator and the base paint for 3 minutes, once complete add water and mix for a further 3 minutes. Next step is to apply the first tinted coating and paint the edges first using a brush, then apply to the rest of the floor using a roller. Next step is to sprinkle the decorative flakes to the floor, then continue applying the coating straight away and keep doing this until the entire floor is complete, then allow 6 hours to dry. Step 5 involves the preparation of the decorative coat and that is simply mixing the activator paint with the base paint and mix for 3 minutes, then add 400mil of water and stir for a further 2 minutes before adding the non slip additive and stirring for a further 3 minutes. Step six involves applying the decorative coatings from the edges with a paint brush and then finishing with a roller and to complete the job just allow some time to dry.

  • The Dulux Garage Floor kit is a two part water based epoxy formula that dries to a high performance garage floor coating. Its hard wearing surface provides excellent resistance to hot tyre pick-up, marring; oil and household chemical staining.
