Checking out Great Seneca creek right after they stocked. Tons of fish held up in a pool. The following day, when it was legal to fish, I went out to catch this rainbow trout. Not wild trout fishing for sure, but fun for being right around the corner. Still learning Sony Vegas, so bear with me on editing.

  • Hey,I shot Frugal Fishing I the fist in the series there this spring as well. You should have kept that trout and ate him. The water here in Maryland is too warm for the trout over the summer. They all die.Catch and release is great in some cases, but in the put and take streams here,it`s just pointless.

  • @slowbowvideo Dont like the taste of hatchery trout brotherman. I leave them for the foreigners. Used to fish up in the Sierra Nevada Mountains for 12 years and loved the taste of fish from there. Just not MD.

  • Cool, I don't know of any stocking programs in Newfoundland Labrador

  • @RockIslandFly @RockIslandFly Yea, this is a little stream five minutes from my place in Mongtomery County, MD. I just moved here from San Fancisco about a year ago. There was a lot more wild trout streams out west than here on the east coast.

  • @RockIslandFly Not to say they aren't here, but they are just to accessible to the bait dunkers here. I would think in Labrador you guys wouldn't need supplemental stocking as much. You guys have quite a few wild trout streams up there, not to mention MONSTER BROOK TROUT. I would love to fish Labrador. Maybe one of these days....

  • @RockIslandFly I was just up in Vancouver BC. You guys dont need much stocking programs up in Canada

  • @colinf94404 I know they do some stalking in BC but in newfoundland there are no stalking programs that I know off.....We just don't need them at present.

  • Nice action, a fish is a fish man wild or not!

  • @colinf94404 I would love to fish Labrador too. : ) Although I hooked and landed a 18 and 1 quarter inch brookie last year on the fly rod. That is my largest to date. We have large populations of wild brookies on the island part of the province but I don't think most accessible waters have large numbers of huge fish like the mainland portion of the province (Labrador) : )
