CryEngine 3 In HD (long version)

CryEngine 3 in action. maybe not extremely much difference from the last engine, but take into account that this will be new on consoles and for a while haven't even been thought possible to do on a console. we'll see how it works out in time, hopefully there will soon be some new footage in higher resolution =)!

I have a nice 1080p HD TV and both a 360 and PS3. They're both hooked up via HDMI cables. I used to think they looked so amazing and each was different from eachother but now I play gaming pc: dual nvidia gtx285's, core i7 @ 3.51ghz, 6gb DDR3 ram, 1080p monitor. Well now my ps3 and 360 BOTH equally gather dust. You ask why? Well after playing all same games as on consoles and other games on my pc, crysis and crysis warhead, in FULL settings, I see CONSOLES ARE SHIT IN ALL WAYS COMPARED TO PC :)

same here, but I have no idea where you get "all same games as on consoles" from. Games are released on consoles earlier, and there are more console exclusive games. Bringing up Crysis is also weird because to me it is not nearly as fun as other pc games...if consoles are shit, Crysis is shit.

I just meant in general ive played games on consoles and on my pc to see the difference in maximum settings and such. No crysis isn't my favorite the entire half life saga is. Valve is best in my opinion, 2k running close with bioshock. I only stated this opinion because so often I hear: "dude consoles look better. pc's are more expensive and look no better.."

yh I see your point, I care more for the RTS games on pc though and as you say valve is one of the best (along with Blizzard imo) and to play Left 4 Dead or the orange box on 360 is just painful...

The cryengine 3 dont have any anti-aliasing... looks nice but at the same time horrible

consoles barely have antialiasing, I think the 360 can pull off up to 2x aa and ps3...probably less, but done right it can look better than 360 anyway.

but with consoles you don't have to worry about compability and if your not on a huge budget, updating ur pc is a real wallet-killer

That's not just my opinion, ask other devs how they feel about it. Sony chose poorly when they chose the video hardware. Performance wise, the 360's video will out render the PS3's everytime if you feed it the same 3d scene. The only way to make the PS3 keep pace is to leverage its spu's to preprocess your 3d scene."
