I hope those canidates are running on an independent or republican ticket. The editoral piece presented implies they are declaring canidancy for president. And the Democratic party elects their canidate by the Super Delegate's vote. It would be impossible to even think one could gain that much political capital in such a short time.

No it wasn't a private central bank. Where did you get your history? It's because of Hamilton and the efforts of the nationalists/protectionists that the US became an industrialized nation, not just an agrarian plantation. Through the national bank the country was no longer dependent on foreign banking interests and could issue sovereign credit for the creation of projects in infrastructure, industry and agriculture. The national bank was supervised by the treasury department!
