Kingdom Hearts II - Atlantica Chapter 4 Part 1

To get access to Chapter 4, you need Magnera magic, learned from defeating the Grim Reaper the second time through Port Royal.

Now that Sora has powerful enough Magnet magic, he and Ariel go to retrieve the pendant that Eric dropped. Ariel is excited to give it back to him, but King Triton comes in and asks who this 'he' is. He warns about how dangerous humans are to Ariel, but Ariel says he doesn't know him. She thinks humans can't be bad as she's been told, and she'll prove it to Triton. However, Triton won't take it, and the only way to get through to Ariel is by destroying the statue of Eric. Saddened, Ariel swims off as Sora, Donald and Goofy follow behind.

As Ariel weeps in the courtyard, she hears a voice. It's Ursula's voice, who was banished by King Trition for her misdeeds as a sea witch. But Ursula says she couldn't stay away with Ariel being all sad. Ursula says she can make Ariel's dreams a reality, but Ariel knows father wouldn't allow that. Ursula says it musn't be love if Ariel gives up that fast, and Ariel reconsiders the proposal. Ursula says she will turn Ariel into a human so she can meet with Eric. Sebastian and Flounder see the situation, and hurry off to tell Triton but get blocked off by Flotsam and Jetsam, Ursula's eel minions. Ursula offers Ariel the chance to be a human by signing a contract, where Ariel gives Ursula her voice. She also says the magic last three days and if Eric doesn't kiss her by then, Ariel belongs to her.

Ariel, desperate to see Eric, signs the contract. Sora hurries in to see the situation and tries to stop it, but Ursula's magic prevents him from getting close to Ariel. Usrula extracts Ariel's voice into a shell, and Ariel emerges from the magic as a human. She can't breathe, so Sora quickly takes her to the surface as Ursula laughs and looks on.

Eric finds Ariel unconcious on the beach and hurries to her aid. He asks if she is the girl that saved him from the shipwreck and helps her up. Ariel stumbles around, not used to walking on legs, then tries to talk but nothing comes out. Eric wonders why she can't talk and asks where she came from. Ariel looks to the ocean, but sees Sora and the others, so she distracts Eric a different direction, then pulls out the pendant and gives it back to Eric. Eric is grateful to her, and offers to help Ariel.

Sora goes back down to the courtyard and realizes everything is fine. Goofy wonders if they should tell Triton, but Sebastian says absolutely not because it would break his heart. Sora asks what they should do then, and Sebastian tells them they should make sure Ariel is safe and happy. As they watch Eric and Ariel together, Sora asks if there's anything else the can do, like asking Ursula to fix all this. Sebsatian says there's no way she'll listen to him, but Sora says it's better than nothing, so he goes off to find her while Flounder and Sebastian continue to watch Ariel and Eric. On the night of the second day, Sora comes back and wonders where Sebastian is. Flounder tells him he went to Triton, and Goofy thinks it might be to talk about Ariel. Flounder asks about Ursula, and Donald says she disappeared. Sora asks how Ariel is doing, and they turn to see Ariel and Eric about to kiss, but the boat gets rocked by Flotsam and Jetsam and they are unable to kiss. Goofy thinks they should get back to looking for Ursula, so they all dive down again to try to find her.
