The legacy of the Iranian Persian "King of the Kings", Cyrus the Great. The first man who introduced human rights about 2500 years ago. The only king mentioned in Bible, and declared as messiah (Masieh).

Be proud of being a Persian, and act like one (Righteous Speech, Righteous Deeds, Righteous Thoughts), just like Cyrus the Great.

  • The personage of Cyrus the Great is unconditionally praised in the Jewish sources. It is likely that, after the Persian conquest of Babylon, Cyrus had commenced his relationship with the Jewish leaders in exile,[2] and that he later was considered as a messiah sent by God.[3] Daniel was in the favor of Cyrus, and it was in the third year of Cyrus that he had the vision recorded in his tenth chapter.

  • What do you mean by he was : "declared as messiah (Masieh)."

Declared by who? In the Bible it says this? Just curious as I've never heard that claim before, especially in the Bible.

  • check wikipedia under Cyrus in Bible, Also Daniel the profit.

"He is mentioned twenty-three times by name and alluded to several times more.

  • great vid

  • Being a good persian simply means: respect for all human kind and harmony with nature.

As Saedi says: "Children of Adam are members of the same body." Saedi learned his lesson from Cyrus the great. Long live human rights for all nations

  • I am not a religious person, and don't believe in any manmade gods. But I wish the present Iranian regime could go back to their roots just like Cyrus and show respect to all ideas, religion and back ground, fellow Iranians, Jewish, Christians, Muslims, Bahaaii, Sofie, Zoroastrians, Communist, Black, White, Poor... Iran does not follow human rights from Cyrus the great, and that’s a shame, and world politics in general just insults my intelligence.

  • I think, this video is a tribute to Cryus the Great who brought the first human rights deceleration to the world. Cyrus is phsically dead, but he truly changed the course of future who lived in 600 BC. To me that is amazing just like 20th centry figures like Ghandi and Dr. King. His positive way and spirit still is living with us. And that is someting to be proud of, not only for Iranians but for whole humanity.

  • @annannon100 : Iran has a rich history, and I largely credit my Iranian pastor (along with others God used) for demonstrating and sharing the good news of Christ (The Mesiah of the world) with me. Indeed, it was that good news which began in the east, changed the world, spread to the west, and caused the boom in education and scientific advancement in the west. The majority of most modern advancements have come from Christian nations, so, "thank you, east" for giving us Christ. He will return!

  • Western media has always played propagandas to convey east as savage people, and that’s not true either. Without east there would have never been advancement in west. In fact all cultures from China to America are closely tied together.

  • I am personally not in favor of monarchy, kings and Queens. But Cyrus the great is one of few that truly entitled to be the Great. Presently Iranian regime does not like a figure like Cyrus, because of his ties with Jewish people although he was Zoroastrian.

  • @FunnyIrani : Thanks for the response. Indeed he is mentioned much in the bible, and he was used by God.

To clarify, he was "A" messiah, or temporal savior of Israel, not THE Messiah. It sounded like the description was ascribing diety to Cyrus, however, he's dead and buried like every other man that ever lived, except for Christ, the one and true and only eternal Mesiah and savior not only of the Jews, but of Iranians and the whole world as well. God bless Cyrus for his role in bringing this.
