In truth, Mahogany was a huge box office hit, breaking records when it was released. But for whatever "reasons", the critics panned it. Go figure, the public still loves the film even today.

Diana's all class. Love the video of the ladies doing "My Heart Can't Take It No More", written for them by Clarence Paul. It was their fifth single, and their first one for 1963. They were still in their experimental stage, which was (for me, anyway) one of their most exciting.

@fredrika27 NO unfortunately. Whitfields portrayl wasn't memorable to say the least. not sure why diana didn't do this project since it was her dream.. she said she probably will never do a nother film .. of course she's 66 now.

Her treatment of The Supremes wasn't nice at all. But being a mother seems to suit Diana Ross like Apple sauce does pork chops. I mean she seems like one of the best mothers around. (although i wouldn't trade her for my mum. my mum's amazing:D)

People can say whatever they want about Diana in terms of her treatment of the Supremes but no one can deny that she must be a good mother. All of her kids seem to adore her.

Yes, Michael did love Diana, if possible he would have married Diana. Of course Diana didn't feel the same way. I beleive Michael didn't really care for Brooke Shields, and Tatum, they were only substitutes.
