Antihistamine Abuse - Public Service Announcement

This video highlights the abuse potential with over-the-counter (OTC) antihistamine medications. Many people underestimate the potential harm that can occur if too much of an OTC product is taken as most feel that OTC products are safe to take regardless of the dose since they are easily accessible. The video highlights the abuse of antihistamines by young adults for the purpose of getting high and describes the sought after effects as well as the dangerous side effects of abuse. It also highlights the role of pharmacist in educating the public about the proper use of antihistamines. The creative minds behind the video are 2nd year professional pharmacy students at Northeastern University School of Pharmacy, Therapeutics with Self Care Emphasis course.

People who abuse antihistamines run the risk of brain damage, but it's not like they're losing anything, as you'd have to be brain-damaged to want to abuse drugs to begin with.

holy fuck!, i just use this today, First time in my hole life. but i felt dopey and tired and relax and i sleep like a baby. i used Wal-dryl allergy antihistamine for allergy relief(normal 2 pills), just bc it get you sleepy. But na!, never again!. bless marijuana!,only use prescription for hes main purpose dont abuse it, don't abuse anything,be free of attachment even weed. :)

The trip isn't even that fun unless you have a dark sense of humor. There's nothing psychedelic about it like LSD or anything, it's just deliriousness. And it's scary. No matter how many times you've taken it you never get used to it.

yea u kids spend too much time on Erowid. I'm a veteran with this stuff, it's bad. I did 24 pills a night every night for months. It's no joke. Eventually you feel strong chest pains and your heart races. You become nauseus from em. It becomes so normal to trip on this stuff every night that the strong hallucinations are boring. I've mixed it with alcohol, pot, vicodins, DXM, other downers. It's bad news. No good can come from this stuff. Take it from an addict in recovery now.

its a delerient so it basically puts you in between sleeping and dreaming... it drives you crazy and makes you feel like you weigh 3000 pounds.
