All videos demonstrate gameplay at Hard difficulty.

This mission calls for quick moves if you want to finish it smoothly. As before, my force comprises the damage-absorbing Mad Cat-A, with several Jump-capable light Mechs for skills training and fire support, heavily outfitted with Clan Light Ultra Autocannons, ER lasers, and Clan Large Pulse Lasers, plus the C/ER-PPCs' on the Mad Cat. My usual optimal-salvage loadout.

I send my force straight for the base at the bottom right of the map, ignoring the gigantic army coming in from the east; closing in to meet them toe-to-toe is a sure way to lose pilots and take unacceptable damage. As I run my Mechs over, I divide my Jump-capable Mechs into two Jump Brigades, who leap over the rocks to capture the Turret Control Towers. That allows me to run my Mad Cat right through the pass...and wait for my pursuers, who are in for a nasty shock.

When the Hunchback IIc-Ws' arrive, they get mauled by the turrets and my own Mechs, blocking the pass. Trapped in there, with an artillery strike hitting them to weaken them further, these deadly opponents go down like tenpins before the rapid-fire fury of my Mechs.

Then I race on, heading for the base I need to capture. It's vital to get there first to capture the Turret Control Towers, which powers up the many missile turrets in the base...and turn the tables on the Uller-Js' and Vultures that go to reinforce that base. I speed through the town, opportunistically destroying any vehicle that gets in my way, and Jump my Mechs in to capture everything, plus repair them in the Mech Repair Bays before the battle proper commences.

Now the Uller-Js' attack first, leaping over the walls. With twenty missile turrets adding to the tremendous firepower of my own Mechs sitting in the base, those Ullers simply vanish in balls of fire, one after the other. Then comes the three Vultures, which will try to take out the Turret Control Towers with their LRMs'. I have Mantis in the Mad Cat draw their attention, and one after the other, they march in through the gates, right into the teeth of the storm of fire I unleash on each one.

Even so, I need to send Mantis to the repair bays a couple of times in the middle of the fight, as she takes the bulk of enemy fire.

With the last Vulture disabled, I check out my salvage screen at video time 07:51 and hey! I've salvaged all three Vultures and their weapons! I further screen my badly-damaged Mechs and and, to my relief, I haven't lost a single Clan-tech weapon.

Time to repair everyone, then head back to the town to capture all the goodies there. I hold off capturing the base HQ for now, as that will deprive me of the chance to loot the warehouses in town!
