With all the videos showing off the Eee PC's physical features, I decided that it was time for a screencast to show some basic business solutions available via the Eee PC's native software.

  • Hi i saw this video and i REALLY want to know what you used to record this?? and please tell me how to install this it seems like a very good video recorder Regards, Paul

  • I used Camtasia (for Windows) while also using VNC to remote control the EeePC.

  • do u get fire fox with it?

  • Yes, Firefox does come with the Linux EeePC's.

  • do you check your eee pc with windows? i think windows is more comfortable

  • You can install Windows on the eeePC; however, there's no reason to do a screencast video of that since we already know what Windows looks like.

  • No mouse included..

  • do you get a mini mouse with the eee?

  • The OS is Linux (a tweaked version of Xandros). I did not tweak the look and feel. It comes that way. I did, however, have to add the Xandros repositories to the sources.list file so that I could get a VNC server running on the device in order to make this screencast :)

  • I'm almost 154% sure this is Linux, but is the default window look supposed to resemble Windows XP? Or did you just change it yourself when you got it?
