I was warning about the wrongness of upstream municipalities adding storm drains so that it would be easier for developers to build on wet lots. In the years prior to this flood, I was saying this at town meetings in White Plains and even to Mamaroneck's Harbor Commission.
Although White Plains adding storm drains to the lots on Railside Ave didn't cause the flooding, it is a part of the cancer-like cause of the flooding. We shunt water downstream without a care.

I live there i got 6 feet of water in my basement the street was filled with debri

I live on a hill up from a lake and during the flood the water was halfway up the hill. the police were on a boat evacuating people :0

It happened i early '07 I tihnk, MAYBE '06. I remember it happened when I was in class, it was so weird.

i remember when it was flooded. half of the first floor was damaged and my family had to stay at a friend's house for 2 months!
