A Fistful of Monk

A Fistful of Monk is an animation completed in April 2005.

It was a collaboration between myself and Tom Pollock during our 3rd year at uni. Tom animated the Cowboy and created the 2D backgrounds while I animated Monk and did the 3D background elements. For me this was basically a test to do something with the character Monk before I started work on my final year animation.

LOL, It looked good, man. How did you think up a monk with a giant robot arm?

I never did a video where someone animated 1 character, and I did the other, sound like that might be kind of hard to work out.

Thanks dude, working with the other guy was actually really easy. Mostly because we planned it out so much and that we both knew exactly how we wanted it to be. Coming up with Monk was kind of accidental. Another friend of mine asked me to interpret what I saw on a bit of paper like a Rorschach ink blot test; just so happens I saw a monk with a giant robot arm. :P

I see this was made in 2005, Do you have a job in the animation field now?

Not yet.

After I graduated from uni in 2006 I did some freelance stuff then started work on Khoda toward the end of that year. That was a long project that just finished a few months ago.

I now am sending my stuff out to try and get work but I've only really started looking.
