No, you must go external.  At less than 1 inch thick, it's not happening on this model.

Please Lenovo, at least keep a line of the original think pad style/business class casings and style. They look, feel and speak professional and class without all the shiny bullshit some people apparently need to feel special. Please...

Nice machine but if it crashes lot of luck. I bought a three year service warranty and the best response I got, over the phone now, was "it's probably a software problem so we can't help you".

I own one of these laptops. I personally think they are brilliant, while yes, I have had to buy an Ext. DVD R/W drive, I've probably brought one which is better than the one they could put in it anyway. I've heard lots of negative comments about it. I for one, Have not found a thing wrong with it. I would recommend this laptop for anyone. If you want any more info on it, Send me a message, or add me as a friend.

u can used the external dvdrom drive ; I think this notepad is not very bad :)

.....no disk drive.... damn.... the university are getting me a laptop to meet my needs ( im special lol) and they said its this one... but if it doesnt have a dvd drive... thats going to be a big issue........ i have to use cd/dvds all the time at uni.
