No death. No shrouds. No summons. No showing off.
There are too many videos on Youtube showing how you can beat the Adamantoise in less than 3 minutes with overpowered characters and weapons. Here I will actually explain to you how you can effectively take out the legs as quickly as possible, while mainly focusing on defense.

Because my stats are high and I'm already in Crystarium Stage 10, I've equipped myself with the crappiest unupgraded weapons I have on hand.
This strategy is one I came up with myself, without the help of any guides. So please excuse me if some of the choices I made seem foolish in the eyes of elite players.

Requirements:
1) You beat the game.
2) You can survive a stomp attack or two.
3) Level 5 sentinel & saboteur on Fang.
4) Level 5 synergist on Hope or maybe Sazh
2) Level 5 ravager & commando on at least 2 characters.

Recommended:
1) Level 5 ravager & commando on all characters.
2) Accessories to reduce earth damage.
3) Accessories to reduce the chance of stop.
3) Quick Stagger

Paradigm:
Fang/Hope/Lightning
RAv/RAv/RAv
SEN/SYN/MED (Default)
SEN/MED/MED
SAB/RAV/COM
COM/COM/COM

!!!IMPORTANT!!!
Once the leg is staggered, pay close attention to the chain gauge. Most people will NOT be able to take out the leg until the chain gauge reaches a certain amount. The higher the chain gauge, the higher damage you will be able to inflict. For me, it is about 600%, but it will vary depending on your stats. Take some time to figure out what percentage you need and remember it. Keep attacking it until you reach 600% or whatever it is, then quickly change to COM/COM/COM and use Highwind to take out the leg in a single hit.

Immediately after Highwind connects, switch to SEN/MED/MED and heal like crazy. If you have low stats you might not survive the next stomp. While you're healing, use auto-battle to challenge the Adamantoise until it blinks red, then cancel the remaining commands and use auto-battle again on its other leg.

!!!IMPORTANT!!!
Play as sentinel the smart way. Don't spam Mediguard! After you use it, you're locked in a vulnerable position for a few seconds. After you take out the first leg, your party will most likely be in critical condition. Without protection, a single stomp can wipe you out. To properly guard against attacks, keep your finger ready and watch the legs carefully. As soon as you see either leg lift up, immediately use auto-battle/Mediguard. Right after the stomp hits, cancel out so that you are ready to guard the next attack.

  • @codemancjackson In Chapter 11, you kill Neochu (Mission 55, "Can't We All Just Get Along?"). You get a Growth Egg from completing the mission, and you put it on 1 character. You get double CP for every fight while it is on. Then you go to Northern Highplains in Archylte Steppe, fight the Behemoth and the other Mag.. whatever that are fighting each other. They are at 50% life, and will be staggered when you hit them. Kill Behemoth King, then Mag... and you get 13,200 CP in 6 sec

  • HOLY HELL MY CHARACTERS ARE HP 3000 RIGHT NOW HOW'D YOU GET THEM SOO STRONG

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH. I have beaten one of these before, but only because I staggered it and tried to deal damage with Death, which actually worked. Now I can beat this thing legitly.

  • My strategy to beat this adamantoise without shrouds, summoning and death is by using Fang (Leader), Hope and Lightning (Each equiped with Omega weapons) I don't really pay attention with the accessories though :p But just make sure they're good for defense and for Fang (Make sure its for attack) I also use these paradigms..

    @SYN/SYN/SYN (Rapid Growth)

    @SAB/SAB/SAB (Infiltration)

    @RAV/MED/RAV (Thaumaturgy)

    @COM/RAV/RAV (Relentless Assault)

    @COM/COM/COM (Cerberus)

    @MED/MED/MED (Salvation)

  • I don't really like using shrouds since they're all not upgraded... Fang has Protectra, Shellra, Bravera and Faithra which damages more :P

  • This is a great strategy, thanks man :) Btw just one thing, with shrouds you can do it in half the time :D

  • No wonder I just had my ass handed to me, I just came across it for the first time, and tried to fight him!

  • thank u so much! I LOVE U

  • thank u this video was very helpful : )

  • Nice job shokku :)
