I find it interesting that this derecho was so strong that there were severe thunderstorm warnings in areas where there was hardly any DBZ in the area. Looked like light rain in those areas but light rain with 80+ MPH winds.

Please note that some of those areas are too far away from the RADAR site to be seen (beyond the RADAR's range).

We are going into day6 no power. That was the only storm that I have feared for my life. I thought my ac unit was about to be sucked out of my window. My neighbors think we may have had a small tornado out here. Crazy! Hope everyone recovers....

I live in Charleston WV. My power went off like 3 days after when another smaller storm hit. It was off for 2 days. Everyone around me went 2 weeks without power. Not sure how my street got lucky.

This sucked.. I was on the train from chicago to washington d.c, you couldnt have asked for a nicer night we were in pittburgh (yes i know i spelt it wrong) at about 3 am, and couldnt have guessed anything was going to happen until i started getting texts from TWC that a massive storm was heading towards the DC metro, then the next afternoon at about 3, when we were suppost to get there at about 12 they told us about how everything was down and there was no power, and we didnt get there til 12am

Interesting how the storm seems to follow, and grow larger around those "radar rings" which appear to be HAARP signatures.. hmm..

I know one thing we got plowed here in WV, where many say we took the brunt of the storm. We were without power for 14 days. What a nightmare that was!!!! Can't wait for summer to be over!!!
