@HORACEBONES I would agree. While I like Maher, I didn't like Religulous. Maher simply went around with Larry's camera crew and found the most outrageous, silly examples of religion he could find (the creation museum people, and the one preacher who says he's the new Jesus for example). In other words, he found real easy targets and didn't seem interested in any type of a serious, theological discussion on religion. It was really lazy, both artistically and intellectually on Maher's part.
surprised that he was only credited for bruno, and borat (and one more) and they didnt mention that he did shed loads of sienfelds, much bigger, and better than the movies he's done!
Godard's work has inspired countless directors, including Quentin Tarantino. Weekend is quirky, hilarious and truly revolutionary for the time (which was 1967).
What's so bad about his appearance? He's a director, he's supposed to look kind of zany.
↓ I agree with nearly all the comments below: (1) he has talent that he never uses directing his crap movies, (2) 'Religulous' and 'Bruno', etc. are just one-man insult--comic shows with no depth or inspiration; 'Masked and Anonymous' was rubbish - as pretentious and incoherent as a movie can be.
(3) 'Weekend' is a wonderful movie, some strange masterpiece. -- but I don't agree about his looking like a bum. Most bums I know look less disheveled.

Yeah, there's a definite similarity between Godard's "Weekend" and "Borat"

@HORACEBONES I'd have to agree as an atheist. It's basically Bill Maher going around making fun of people. Not a great way to come to rationality.
