Roman Rist built Tele - 1 piece ash body, 1 piece maple neck, rosewood board; WB (Will Boggs) custom wound pickups - VTP Hot humbucker wound with vintage 50's wire (splits to single coil at tone knob push/pull) and WB Hot Tele bridge pickup. Just a little demo switching between the pickup configurations - a little choppy, but oh well! Peavey Classic 30 tube amplifier (played at a relatively low volume so that my crappy camera mic doesn't distort), on board overdrive in the short driven section. Recorded on a still camera - sorry for the crappy sound quality. You get the gist, though.

  • Is that a Warmoth body?

  • @gtrblues The entire guitar was hand built from lumber by Roman Rist - neck, body, etc. The body/neck were not sourced from anywhere. This particular piece of wood was purchased from Wayne Charvel by Roman Rist in the 1990s, and wasn't cut into a body until last year.

  • That's the tele that restored my faith in teles! Sounds excellent Dice! Great demo!

  • Me too, Steve. This guitar is among the best I've ever laid my hands on - and definitely my personal favorite. I'm glad that you and the guys in Redding had a chance to play it while it was still with Roman!

  • Wow that is the clearest/cleanest sounding humbucker I have ever heard

  • Thanks Yogi. The one thing that all of my WB's have in common is unmatched clarity. Keep in mind that for part of the vid, that HB is split, but it is crystal clear either way.
