Video, night shots of UK Apache choppers at HMS Ocean, Libya strikes

British apache helicopters have carried out their first strikes over Libya, hitting military targets.
The operation was launched from HMS Ocean, off the coast of Brega. Until now, NATO has relied on attack jets, generally flying above 15,000 feet (4,500 metres) - nearly three miles (five kilometres) high.

@jrm21386 yeah but ours are built by Westland and are the only Apache's cleared and capable of operating from ships and are faster, more powerful, more manouverable, can fly at higher altitudes and can carry heavier payloads, the Rolls Royce engines are 25% more powerful and the B.E.R.P rotor blades make all the difference, still the WAH-64 and AH-64 are the best attack choppers in the world and battle proven many times over.

@fairclought7 Yeah, and we don't operate Apache off from ships, we use the AH-1W Super Cobra for that which I believe has a folding blade system. Anyway cheers UK And US despite what Russia Today says about us lol.
