Have you been to any of these countries? I've only been to Australia - and I hadn't heard of half of the countries. I looked up how to pronounce the names, but I'm sure I got some of them wrong anyway. Feel free to point out my mistakes.
For the record, Azerbaijan means Land of Fire, because of the ancients' use of its petroleum resources. This dates back to the earliest Persian Empires. I might guess that Azerbaijan is well and away the oldest surviving country name.

I agree. That letter comes after z in the Finnish and Swedish alphabet, so it's at the end, not in the beginning.
