  • Hi, I'm just trying this one out, but it seems to me that the object creating the fog still creates it after the room is filled with fog? Or mabye im missing something... Either way i tested it too and i'd like to suggest this: change room speed to 9999999 while it is creating the fog, seems to me that it speed things up real nice. Good tutorial mate!

  • @martkuri That could work, try if it works make a video and I'll give it a shout-out.

  • what does tbs stand for

  • @jarrodDS2000 Turn Based Strategy

  • uh-huh, disregard the video to the one who came up with the idea. Not that I didn't like it. The distance effect was brilliant, just like I had attempted in my last example in my example, but I couldn't figure out how to do it in code. But I am excited you were able to make it take less time. Loading length was my main concern.

  • @BastendorfEvergrass Sorry about that but like you said this one loads faster and what i really was looking for was for it to go back to being dark after you moved away from it.

  • ERROR in

    action number 1

    of Step Event

    for object obj_fog:

    Error in code at line 9:  with(draw_rectangle) instance_destroy(); ^

at position 11: Unknown variable draw_rectangle

    please help!

its got no error in script but when it plays it has an error.

  • Whenever i start my map up it does the loading thing but once it's done loading there's no fog.

  • How do you make the clear area around the obj_hero bigger?

  • Why no just us repeat((room_width/2)*(room_height/2))

Instead of the 3 events and loading?

  • 04:40

Why not just use for loops there?

  • when i finish my game i will to thank you in credits... sorry for my bad english, im argentinian.

  • great! it works! thank you

  • Man, this is awesome, thanks a hell of a lot for the vid
