I use to live in Gallup. It really sucked in my opinion.

There was nothing to do at all.

A lot of kids on drugs over there too.

I too are one of Gallups offspring. I left there 39 years ago.

I never regretted it one bit. When I was a teenager there, its true nothing to do, but go up into the hills and drink, smoke weed, and party.

I consider myself lucky that I left that place. I still have relatives there, thats the only reason I go back. I too remember the Elmorro and Chief movie theatre..

I remember going pinion picking. Kit Carsons Cave, they closed down because of wild parties....lol

Born in Gallup and Lived there till I wuz nine...I still vist Gallup once in a while since I have family there. But I still don't like it there. My family is all Italian and whenever we walked into a store everyone would look at us.and like the only place to shop there Is walmart the mall is dead. It's so sad. Growing up there felt different then the way I feel about Gallup today

I lived in Gallup in the early 60's - no mall, o Wal-mart and downtown was a happening place (El Morro AND The Chief movie theaters), Sears, JC Penney, drug stores, Tom's Hobby Shop, the little candy shop next to the El Morro, swimming pool on Ford Road...
