Those comments below are horrendous & sound like something from the dark ages, just because a woman is dressed up & looking/feeling smart (doesnt matter on wether her attire is appropriate or not) does not mean she has to be attacked because she is asking for it!!!! Of course it was attempted rape. Not least, Maria said no, but also, anyone with a brain can see that he forced her back onto the couch when she tried to get up. I'm a bloke, and feel that it's not unheard of for some women to seduce men and then cry rape, all as part of a scam. However, this wasn't like that, as Maria stated unambiguously (both here and earlier in the ep) that she wan't interested. It's ignorance like the type displayed in these comments that ensures rape continues.
