I agree that the ownership sucks however they certainly should have asked Sundin to waive his NTC and they did ask other players to do it as well. Do you realize what the leafs could have gotten for Sundin as a rental player? Fletcher was wrong to publicly pressure Sundin but it was his job to fix a lousy team.
John Ferguson ruined this team with his NTC's as part of his standard contracts. Sundin should have done what was best for the team.

The ownership are real scumbags, starting with Peddie for asking Sundin to waive his no trade clause. Sundin has integrity and honored his commitment.
