Great video, but the description bothers me. Say I own a piece of land that's invested with rabbits/squirrels that are tearing it apart with all their digging and burrowing into trees. Is it not legal for me to set some of these up to try and catch some for population control? No. Why should I bother to go out and shoot some when I can just set up some small game traps to make it easier? And like you said, Even if I did catch some it's likely to still be alive, allowing me to free it.

Well Mate-take it from someone who's been searching through heaps of footage tonight on how to do this......You've made it very user friendly. I understood everything immediately and would give it a go if I thought I might catch an animal interesting enough to eat here. I am looking for a cheap and efficient way to catch and kill magpie geese.....and I've never caught or killled anything in my life. if the bird trap thingy doesn't work I might give this a go......

yo thanks for the info man! this saved my butt last winter while hunting. if you do it right this snare really can work on all sorts os animals. i used a bigger loop and it caught a big fox trying to get into my camp! i just used some slightly thicker wire.
