  • I Have this cam in my ls2 without ported heads. Runs well but because the lsa is too wide at 118, the torque curve is actually less peakier than the stock cam even though the gt11 cam is quicker and makes more power. I'm going for the gt 1-1 cam. A bit bigger

  • @bortous Piston flycutting needed with the GT 1-1 cam?

  • @ctusser Yes it is needed. U thinking of getting the gt 1-1 cam?

  • @bortous No, wouldn't be worth it for just a cam swap. There are many other good cam grinds available that will give more mid to top end without needing to flycut.

  • im thinking why yhe wast of money on afr

im gona go for ls6 heads ported .. what you think ??

remember my engine is ls1 soo i think its enough (( gt11 cam with ls6 ported heads )) ??

im talking about 60 hp on wheels :)

  • I was in the 420 whp range with that combo, and that cam had torque everywhere, felt really good for a street car. Just make sure to have the heads shaved to bump compression, the cam will lower the dynamic compression ratio. I'd contact Lingenfelter about what they recommend for chamber volume for the available fuel octane rating you have in your area.

  • @ctusser yes well, the lingenfelter cams are one of the best grinds you can get.the gt 11 cam in my car, made 410rwhp with stock heads and mines auto which is insane for just a mild cam.

  • it will lose some bottom end torque but the l92 heads Im getting pitted will increase it heaps throughout the rev range regardless. L92 heads are one of the best mods you can do to an ls2. They make a huge difference

The gt 1-1 cam would go a lot harder from mid-top end power.

  • CarbConn in Kirkland WA did the install and tune. No reliabilty problems, the cam's drivability behavior is nearly stock too.

  • Not a lot over the LS-6 cam, maybe 15-20hp, but would be a big step over an LS1 cam especially with AFR heads. I'd order those heads with 59 to 60cc combustion chambers to keep the DCR good.
