Late 80's and early to mid 90's the graff scene was buzzing and people like fiza, kooza, yeah diet, figz, shuto etc etc and the whole DDS crew were everywhere, but ever since then it's got wack, yards dont get hit like they did street bombing has slowed down and trackside dubs just dont happen anymore.....Prime example who ever thought that the tracks outside G inbetween earls court and gloucester road would be graff free..????
The walls there are sick and not one bomb/dub there these days :(
ZOMB aka RATE aka FIZA is the daddy of the london graffiti scene FACT.
DDS use to be the crew of crews (razing like it was goin out fashion, blazin weed, pressin hoes and hittin tube yards STANDARD!) but shit gets serious COS went away ZOM had already gone before and MOOD died... shit gets serious. Writers grew up lost passion and Graffiti has lost its essence and edge it once had...gone are the chrome and blacks for the streets are litters with stencil art! WHICH IS NOT GRAFFITTI. RIP JIMBO
got the best handstyle, throwie and he has a character which has had 20years of perfection, and furthermore, each piece i see of zombys gets better by piece. this man is proper inspiratonal man, hes been doing trains b4 most of us here were born
That throwie is niice. Not seen too much of Zombs work about since the days of buffage but good to see a few nice pieces in Shoreditch the other day. Cheeeze.
i got bullied at school i guess because i was just quiet and kept myself to myself, but i got interested in graff when i was about 16 and it just gives you something to feel good about. im not a "pussy" but from my experiance all the tough guys have to be in a group for them to get brave and rob people and stuff they can never do it by themselves so thats cowardly. anyway zomby is uk number 1 in my opinion.
MAKE SURE U ALL CHECK OUT 706 WZ BOOK - THE LOST BOYZ: A DARK SIDE OF GRAFFITI. THE BOOK GIVES A REAL INSIGHT TO THELATE 90'S ERA OF GRAFF - OUT 14/02/2011, WATERSTONES, WH SMITH, AMAZON - GO GET DAT!!!
