Huang Zhong: DW5 XL Chaos Mode: Battle of Jia Meng Gate

I have an older Edgar video, but I think this moveset is a better one, because of Huang Zhong's C1 somewhat matching Edgar's Autocrossbow.

This video attempts to show Huang Zhong's most ideal setup. Although...the Life on that weapon is somewhat of a wasted stat.

Comparison between Huang Zhong and Xiahou Yuan may be close, against officers in small crowd sizes. But Huang Zhong's ability to kick ass in massive crowds and multiple officers, is much better than Xiahou Yuan's.

This video also shows why Huang Zhong's best config should include the Way of Musou. In massive crowds, it will help in two ways. It'll make a clearing and allow him to do his C1 again after one or two jump charges. So this is for more flexibility in massive crowds. Try taking on all three (or four) "Yang" officers, Yang Bo, Yang...etc...
without the Way of Musou equipped. Better yet...try doing it against Ma Chao and Zhang Lu.
The second reason is that if crowds are seriously massive, it may be hard to deal damage to officers, as several jump charges may form a nice straight line of peons but may not have officers in the right place. Thus, his true musou is more effective, because he can do a musou with fire against officers even in massive crowds. Well I should consider the ability to fight multiple officers as one of the results for equipping the Way of Musou actually.

And ya....Xiahou Yuan would take much longer near the end there, with all those Yang people, Ma Chao and Zhang Lu.

This stage is very fun for Huang Zhong fans. It's quite challenging in the center.

Oh ya, forgive me for those hits...Huang Zhong should have an extreme defense. I was too lazy to bother with some of the archers...and well at Ma Chao...that was clearly my own fault.

Hmm I think this is my only Jia Meng Gate video, is that right?

i have difficulties with huang zhong if i dnt equip wind scroll coz his attack range is not big

a 5 year old can answer this question.

If you want more reach on his normal attacks, then equip him with Wind Scroll.

But if you want moveset maximization, then use his archery instead, so save an item slot.

wow that's some tense stage. recently i've found out this difficulty with fighting lubu with hz, especially when therez no peons around cuz in empires after u kill all his peons the bitch chases u. it's realli realli difficult since he doesnt flinch much and hez with such a high defense and u dont have things to fill musou with and he uses a lot of c1 ahh i'm scared fighting him with hz now

freezing probability when using C1 is very low.

freezing probability when using C3, (ending) is very very high.

But it's often not safe enough to rely on, in Chaos.

If you give him the fire arrows, it's basically three quick C1 volleys, and then a musou.
