54mph downhill cycle run

Video taken from a small video camera attached to a friend's cycle helmet coming down the infamous and dangerous telegraph hill. I followed behind on a mountain bike reaching maybe 45mph tops.

He also reached 57mph at a later date in better conditions but there is no video to prove this!

Yeah, we actually closed the main road and paid a number of drivers to come down that highway at less than half the speed limit just so we could speed up the footage and keep it convincing

it is better to attach the camera on the bike for smoother recording

Awesome speed, but you should be in the drops while descending that fast. They're there to give you more stability and steering control.
