Well that is true of any theist, but I think Billy was a really decent guy and to me that's good enough. Educated and good are two different things.

I enjoyed watching this. But I have to say - God NEVER promised any of us a 'thrilling life' if we believe in Him. It's misleading to say that. No wonder people - especially those who are Christians - often feel unloved by God and/or that they are failing Him somehow because their lives have NOT become 'thrilling' since being 'saved'.

Same with getting high. Or immersing yourself in literature, or television, or music. I guess anything that takes you away from reality, that distracts you from your real surroundings, those things all have ups and downs. You think you are safe and nothing can touch you, those are the ups; in reality though you are just as vulnerable to everything, and when you slip out of the comfortable illusion, those are the downs.

I was agnostic for years because I thought "thrill" meant everything was comfortable and/or fun. The thrill with God is in the anticipation and experience of seeing what God is doing in whatever is happening. Once you've seen that... life is never boring. Most of us in western world have a hard time "seeing" the supernatural because of our worldview. We think "real" is only what we can prove scientifically. Been there, done that. Isn't as thrilling as the supernatural. :)

Thank you so much - what a fascinating interview. Thing is - how come 60,000 have viewed part 2 and only 30,000 have viewed part 1 - that's strange!
