I've been thinking about sleep lately. Mostly because I'm not getting enough.

Do you get enough sleep? How much do you sleep every night?

  • I used to be a night owl when I was younger....now I'm a morning person!

  • 6 to 7 hours a night is average for me. Though on a night like tonight (after 3 beers! wow!) I might head to bed before 10 PM and enjoy a nice even 8 hours of dreamin'. -Kurt :-)

  • I usually tend to hit the sack around 11pm myself....

  • I sleep 4-5. 10pm to 2-3 am. best Guess. I am usually grumpy. :(

  • Dont listen to anybody saying you need so and so amount of sleep. The amount of sleep you need is based on how you feel based on how much you get. If you feel fine after 5 hours, then 5 hours is enough. If you are still tired after 5 hours, you need more. Everybodys requirements are different. For me 5 hours is fine for me. I can function easily on that. 8 hours is great, but I have sleeping problems so 8 hours is rare unless I go to bed shitfaced. Its different for everybody.

  • I sleep on average four hours a day. On a REALLY awesome day I'd get sround 7hours.

  • Well, i have sleep problems ... Sometimes, i may not sleep for to days in a row, when i try to go to bed in the evening i still fall asleep in about 4 am, then I can't wake up till 3, 2 pm ... i Don't why is this happening to me, but because of this i Got huge problems :(

  • i try to get 50 h sleep a week, mostly i sleep 7,5 hours from sunday to thursday, and friday i take a nap in the afternoon, celebrate weekends by partying and sleeping good.

  • 8-9 hours and if i get less than that repeatedly i get grumpy

    I should get more, but I am very happy staying up late.I almost always have to force myself to go to sleep because I have to get up in the morning.

  • Haha, weird I watch this now, I'd really bad sleep last night! Watched the aviator before going to sleep and kept dreaming I was in a plane crash and would then wake up! Currently on my fourth coffee as a result! Anyway great vid, entertaining as always.

  • Yeah, with 9 hours each night I never really get tired during the day. I'm an artist an work at home so don't really have a weekend like salary people. I know people that need naps and sleep more on weekends since they don't get enough durring the week. That's never the case for me with 9 hours. And when I do go to bed I'm not overly tired. Yeah Kevin, sounds like Japan keeps you energized and you can get by on less sleep. But I'm 61 and you look like you're in your 40's. Just wait. LOL

  • 9 hours is normal for me these days. I haven't drank for 6 years; but used to plow it down. Then I needed 12 hours a night to function well. I have a good daily routine which I think helps also these days. I don't travel or drive like I used to as much either. Yeah, sounds like you could use a little more sleep; but if you're a busy active person and love what you do that probably keeps you energized also. I have one cup of coffee in the morning and one in the evening. Works good for me.
