im not flipside but I guess these would be his answer:
probably multiple record pools
most are probably 320kbps if not as best as possible
radio stations get direct songs from the artists label so most of the songs (non-promo/crooklyn clan stuff/etc) are probably 320.

I'm using a macbook pro with 2.16 gh intel core dual and 2 gigs of ram....no sound card...just serato scratch live

Flip questions:
1. get your mp3's: promo only, record label, record from your old vinyl collection and remaster them?
2.what bitrate are youre mp3's in? are they all the same bitrate?
3.does the radio station require your mp3's to be at a certain bitrate no less than & no more than situation?

1. yes, multiple record pools. mostly a lot of labels tho.
2. The station uses 320 Im sure, but when I edit my music I render it at 256. Still sounds good but also saves some space on the drive.
3. No the station doesn't "require" it in my mixes.
