hi, im looking at getting a kingmotors baja and i was wondering if parts from the hpi baja would fit the kingmotors. parts like arms, shocks and other things that might break.

also how did it run with the stock 23cc motor.

Hi Mate,

Yea they are exactly the same cars the HPI is just better built in a few ways ie. you will have to drill out the damper holes in the shocks of the kingmotors just a little bit to make the shocks performe the way they should. And also you should buy a HPI pull starter assembly when you buy the car as it will probably start the car twice at best before the insides shatter and it's reduced to a piece of plastic on a string. But yes all parts are the same and so is the motor. :-) Face

im trying to convince my dad to let me get one. but he says that its crap because its cheaper than the hpi, and that i wont be able to find parts.

but now i know its the same.

Hey one other thing you will have to d/l the HPI Baja 5b manual from their site as when you need to order parts you will need the HPI part numbers. And when you drill out those damper holes use the smallest drill bit you can find or even a hot pin it doesn't have to be made much bigger, be a good idea to have a look at the HPI SS shock kits as they are all apart and you can see the holes. i'm gonna order a km baja today. there's a sale that lasts until tomorrow and they are buy it now for $380. the only downside is $90 shipping. it's still cheap though.
