  • I think it's cool, I'd much rather commute to work on a electric bike than drive an electric car. These things could be a hit in Asia too.

  • Be my luck I would cross a creek and electocute myself.

  • I love the idea of an electric commuter bike or dirt bike but right now, I think my little honda minibike is more efficient then these things :P I mean, the little for stroke engines only need one tank to go for wat seems like forever

  • The concept of a electric motorcycle is not speed. The real concept is base on MPC or Miles Per Charge or for cars MPG, at a speed that is suitable for high way. People that want a fast motorcycle can go buy a gas base motorcycle and ride it on a track or kill them self on the streets. Like comparing a Amazon Kindle to an IPad .

  • I don't think it will ever take over in offroad. They can't compete with a 450cc bike and they certainly won't be seen in BAJA or out on the dunes with that kind of battery life. You can't take the bike on road trips because a full day of riding isn't possible with charging a battery. If they want to replace gasoline powered engines with something that's more environmentally friendly they'll have to look at alternative fuels, especially since nobody want to give up the sound of a motocross bike.

  • takes too fucking long to charge!

  • @FantasticBob7000 An honest 40 miles. Flat land of course. You can get 60ish, but that is driving pretty darn slow. The battery technology is from other sources. Once they and other elec bike/car makers start making their own, the range should go way up.

  • How far on a charge?

  • The dirt bikes go a top speed of around 50mph, so they say.

  • @Doubledge007 the lowest I've read was 40 or 50 and the highest is 100 miles.

  • @boarder989 when we reach 8 dollars for gas then you'll be saying otherwise :-D
