  • I used the sailess bowl I found in the kichen used for processing the food.

You may not know in India they use iron ball to make a henna paste. It is called Mehendhi ball.

Why they use iron ball ?

    I assume 2 reasons.

    1 for the better color

2 ayurvedic meaning iron is good for the hair growth...maybe. I found often Iron ash in the formula of hair treatment powder.

  • Actually you SHOULD use an iron bowl to mix henna powder. It does NOT react negatively. If you mix henna powder in a glass bowl, you just get really bright orange color in your hair. If you want your hair color to be richer and darker, definitely use iron. That's how it's done in India for centuries. If you mix henna powder in a glass bowl, you just get really bright orange color.

  • I know well where henna comes from, natural henna is the plant lawsonia inermis, I was referring to antoindotnet comment...

  • henna comes from a henna tree, looks like a bush, and it it is grounded into powder ^_^

  • if henna is natural..there are no chemicals in it..you mean the compnents, right??

  • HEHE THATS THE FIRST THING I TOUGHT WHEN I SAW THIS VIDEO, NEVER EVER USE A METAL BOWL TO MIX THE HENNA BECAUSE IT REACTES NEGATIVELY WHEN DYING THE HAIR :(:(i always use cups or someting made on glass ^^U

  • I'm assuming they're going to use all that henna for hair dying. Even so, it is advisable never to use a metal bowl, as the metal can react negatively with the chemicals in the dye. Use glass or ceramic, preferably.
