  • nice piece of work...

btw, I've seen many non-Indonesian performing Luk Luk Lumbu (East Java) and Janger (Bali). but i've never seen any performing Marencong rencong (Bugis). Probably you can???

  • @atchanie Thank you so much. I passed your request on to the Director. I did have a chance to check it out and wow, what an amazing song! and what a complement.

    Thank you!!!

  • i love this song i want to sing it some day!

  • @RockandRollChickie I hope you get the chance too.

  • I wonder which Indonesian choir did you copy the choreography from? :-)

Overall, it's a great performance although there are some incorrect pronunciations.

Thank you for performing Indonesia songs!

  • @itbchoir I don't know I think it was The Itb something or another ;) lol

Thank you and you guys are wonderful. :)

  • nice piece of work

but east java, isn't a country southwest of China

    it's one of Indonesian Province,

Bali (Bali Province) and Bugis (South Sulawesi Province) are also ethnics of Indonesia

There are around 300 distinct native ethnicities in Indonesia, and 742 different languages and dialects. Banyuwangi (located on East Java Province) is one of the region with it's own traditional language that use in this song.

  • Thank you so much :) now look at my intro is it incorrect or are they just being annoying?

  • Amazing... I love this. I am from Indonesia and I am very proud you sang this song.

  • first, i don't like the choreography.... i know that u saw and copied it from u tube, but perhaps before performing this song, u should ask or search Java culture from Indonesia embassy on your country....

second, the high tone of sopranos is killing my ear...

over all, i love your choir to choose this repertoire,,,

  • I think you need to dictate the Javanese words a bit clearer and on time because some were rushing it and I as a Javanese did not get anything. Just a suggestion:P Overall it was nice to hear though :D

  • @MrSemego Well that sounds better than I thought it was! Let us hope that your country's great singing and music can put Indonesia on the map again! I believe music is the medicine to give people hope. I remember the words of Elvis Presley - " The day is not complete until you sing a song". As a singer,I know this is true! Regards to you.

  • @jockhamish yes there something wrong with this country esp. the urban. It's not the religion m8 and the government not controlled by military since 1998 even we still lead by ex-general he was chosen by democratic election. Indonesian have to learn again about their values, 300 years colonialism + 32 years silent-killer-regime ruin it

  • @MrSemego Is it not a great pity that the Indonesian people are smothered by a harsh, intolerant religion, crooked foreign business practices and a military-controlled government? I have a Javanese lady friend here in Hong Kong who ,like many more of her sisters, works like a slave. I would prefer to see her happily singing this wonderful song back in her own land, living a comfortable life.

  • director fail =)

  • nature's call!!

    ROFL

  • He said South West China??...it's totally wrong. Maybe he saw the performance of ITB Choirs in World Choir Games 2006 in Xiamen, China...so that's why he said it's in south west china.

  • you are great! why don't you come to Indonesia and show us that another country including you loves Indonesia :D
