Where do you get your carnivorous plants? I want some for our garden but all I ever find are tiny Venus Fly traps at Meijer and they are usually dead.

@runninbunchie27 The plants has necter glands all over but most heavily focused at the traps peristome and lid. The inner walls of the trap are difficult for insects to climb on so they fall in while consuming the necter. The colors of the trap helps to attract insects. Their is no flower involved though.

oooooooooooo i see now. theres a flower in there to attract insects. makes so much more sense now. ahah i used to think they just have a 6th sense to dive into digestive fluids.
quite the impressive garden. How many and different plants do you have(at a best guess)?

@bensreenan you guys have some Sarracenia purpurea and a few S. flava that were introduced in a couple of the remaining bogs in Ireland. They are doing well, at that.... now, I'm thinking they may have been introduced from my province Newfoundland... yes, the Sarracenia purpurea capital of the world!!
