Here's the firing of the 7th of the miniature catapults I've been making for a while now. This one, part of a matched pair, is made from 1/2" thick red oak with a walnut and mahogany throwing arm. Since I moved up to the oak, I decided to go ahead and blacksmith the ratchet pawl from some 3/8" square bar stock, as well as make a *very* small pulley for the trigger. And since I'd gone that far, I decided to also make the nails for the side plates from some 17ga carbon steel wire I have. All in all, this is probably the most effort I've put into a model to date
