I remember Taps at my dad's funeral. It just seemed so dignifying. I am comforted to know I have earned the same honor as you grandfather and my father.
Remember: It is not how you died, it is how you lived. Make the most of it (and it seems your grandfather did).

Yeah... I didn't know him much.. (he was older like 89 when I was 11 [he died]) but he was cool, and I had to do some research with my dad to get all the info and he had an awesome life from what I've heard... Only bad part about him being in the war is he made lots of friends including his best friend, who's head kinda.. um... flew off.... in a road side bomb in WWII... :'( and yeah... but he was pretty cool even when he was around :)
