Reel breakdown:

shot 1 - a couple having an argument. Full character animation by me. The rig is the Andy rig available at HighEnd3D.

shot 2 - workstation room, compositing layers sequence. This shows one of my full environment + characters workflow.

shot 3 - workstation room animation. Arianne turning off the screen and then looking cute. Poser character rigged and animated by me inside Maya. Hair made with Maya Hair and cloth simulation with nCloth.

shot 4 - chocolate bunnies. I animated the bunnies for a 20sec TV spot (the bunny character was same used on a previous project). The whole project had to be delivered in two weeks.

shot 5 - NOD32 presentation video. I rigged the samurai and animated half of her shots. We had one week and a half to deliver the project.

shot 6 - robot walking. I animated the robot, lighted it, rendered it, color corrected it to make it blend with the background plate.

shot 7 - Mariana walk test. I modeled, textured and animated this character in Maya. Hair using Maya Hair and cloth simulation with nCloth.

shot 8 - biped cows. This is an animation test made for a client. I was in charge of modeling and animating the cows.

shot 9 - chocolate bunny. This is another project featuring a chocolate bunny. The shot was completely done by me, from character modeling and animation to rendering and compositing. The full shot was 4 seconds long and had to be delivered in two days.

shot 10 - expoU. This is a short and minimalist animation for a presentation. I modeled and animated the little guy, and used heavily the Trax editor to combine different animations that had to be reused along the whole animation.

Software used: Maya, Cinema4D, Mentalray, After Effects, Photoshop, Premiere Pro

  • Hey did u find a job with this demo reel?

  • does anyone know of a fairly effective program that can put an image format onto youtube without it looking grainy or shot with a cell phone camera?

camera.I have clip samples on my page to show

  • I like your modelling.

but your animations are stiff and.. well.. just.. "laggy".

Start using the graph editor to smooth movements,

and remember that in reality, things are never 100% still. so never let a living object be 100% still (thinking about the rabbit that immediatley stopped without any more motion)

  • i liked the dialogue in the beginning, very nice. seems like you have a good feeling for keyframed animations.

the samurai, on the other hand, is quite a contrast in quality, i wouldn't put that into the reel again...

  • ADD Closed Caption! dude!

  • very cool, i loved all of it. :)
