  • Whats wrong with your voice?

  • I think you can see I was losing my voice, but I had no time to cancel the show because you need to give 48 to cancel taping. Needless to say: "The Show Must Go On"

  • Billy wilder was Co-writer for one of my favorite movies. The Apartment.

  • Awesome episode fellas. Here's another idea for a bad screenwriter: Martin Brest ("Gigli").

  • Some of my favorite screenwriters:

    The Coens

    Quentin Tarantino

    Aaron Sorkin

    Charlie Kaufman

    Alex Garland

    Andrew Kevin Walker

    Christopher Nolan

    Paul Schrader

    David Mamet

  • Edwin should keep that voice.

  • Are these guys the worst writers in Hollywood?

  • William Goldman anyone?

  • Listening to the conversation about Larry Cohen reminds me of the movie he wanted to do for Hitchcock: PHONE BOOTH, which eventually got made by Joel Schumacher and Colin Farrell, he presented to Hitchcock that he wanted to do an action movie that took place completely in a phone booth where he got inspired by the phone scene in THE BIRDS. Hitchcock apparently liked the idea, but thought it was limiting. Cohen came up with the sniper idea after Hitchcock had passed away.

  • I have worked as a writer on 4 films that got Hugo's and one that got the Oscar.

  • I definately appreciate this episode, guys, because I also know the pains of writing a good script. I've only done about three original scripts (most half and half right now). One's a romantic comedy-thriller (FANONE) about a librarian who's obsessed with a famous actress and treks to San Francisco to stop her wedding.

The other's a Haunted House movie (SILENCIO) in the vein of Jacob's Ladder.

  • Interesting.

  • Waldo Salt and David Mamet
