I bought my macbook pro 3 months ago and it cracked in the back without being dropped or any other damage. Apple refuses to fix it and says that warranty doesn't cover external problems. I really believe that there is a flaw with a "new" design only Apple doesn't want to admit that.
If you have a similar problem email me annette0888@gmail.com .

  • Mine has done the same thing and they also refuse to fix it!! I am so angry about this!

  • one of my friend had this problem....it is really easy to fix you just take off the bottom part of the macbook...then take out the long black hinge and then just put the screen back into position and put it back together....

  • @CompalN38N2 And yeah, they do suck. The worst part is after that you have to deal with an OS made for crashing, because Mac OS can't hold up with any kind of a load on it. Also all that strange application handling that mac apps do. Stupid.

  • I wouldn't call that a design flaw. I mean any idiot who's been putting together laptops for whatever amount of time would be able to make something that doesn't do that. I've had laptops since the freaking early 90's and never seen one like that.

  • same problem here! what can be done? any word from apple or have you been able to find a cheaper repair solution?

  • daaammn wat size szeen it looks huge!!!

    ;d

  • I hope you got it fixed.

I would recommend you take it to different stores until you get justice.

  • Apple SUCKS.

  • hope you get it fixed! Hopefully for free!

  • I had a small crack in my white macbook, a common problem, and Apple replaced it. Don't go back to PC. Take it to a different apple store, or an Apple authorized retailer (like Best Buy)
