La Beverlia! She was really great in exactly that time: 1960 till about 1976.

WHEW!, I have just listened to the entire concert and need to take very deep breaths!!! That concert should have been recorded for commercial release, the sound is excellent and Beverly just seems to have one aim throughout the performance.........BLIND them with singing that they will never hearagain as long as they live!

Ah Bev! Bev! Bev! Even though the beginnings of the wobble are evident, yet there is such sublime mastery over the instrument and her interpretation is just so intense and believable! I love everything about Ms Sills and have all her commercially released recordings. Bravissima!

I agree - her voice is noticeably darker and slightly heavier than previous performances, but she still manages to do all the pyrotechnics and colors galore. The enormous and lengthy applause says everything. Did you hear the version with the French announcer? Must have been prepared for radio. Get ready to drool: I have her Aida and other things I found. Have you hear her sing Bachelet's Cher Nuit? - it's gorgeous! Now where DID I put it......
