Pencil and paper and digital art are completely different realms and cannot be adequately compared. Both traditional and digital art have their own merits and neither artist is any better or worse than the other. In this day and age, tools like these tend to improve productivity pipelines for commercial use. It's far from an "emulation".

Some people got mad at your comment because you compared this state-of-the-art drawing tablet (a specialized tool for digital artists) to an iPad (a cool yet toy-like, generalized gadget). I won't insult you, everyone makes mistakes :) But you have to understand that your comment had no basis, that's why it results outrageous to some digital artists. It's risky to provide your input about something you don't have enough information about, because you could only end up embarrassing yourself.

It seems to be a valuable investment for a professional artist like myself, but honestly you can get the same results from a wacom tablet. As cool as it would be, it just wouldn't benefit me in much of a creative way. Not for the price tag.
