Something I wrote some time ago as a tribute to my favorite guitarist -it's called 'Ry's Land'.
Most people say it reminds them of the 'Paris, Texas' soundtrack.
I also did a studio version and uploaded it with a slideshow. To see that click here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-FRy8dduvM

  • don't change a thing you're doing here; all the sounds here add to the character of the piece

  • Thanks!

  • Nice but raise the strings and mute the strings behind the slide......you'll get rid of the crunching sounds if you do these things.

  • To each his own. I like the way it sounds. Have you ever heard Ry play?, his slide is rattling all over the place.

  • great job, my friend.

don't know much of ry cooder, but my grandad loved him though.

  • Thanks nemtizz!

  • nice! but you should think about raising the strings, just to avoid slide-touching strings to frets.

  • Glad you liked it dzoxa!
